i have a tc40d the tractor must be in nuteral.park brake set and sitting in the seat for it to start.if you get off the seat without setting brake and in nuteral it will quit.wy are you pulling up on the brake release.to set brake push pedals down and hold while lifting on park brake lock handle. to release brake just push down on brake pedals lock will pop down by itself releasing brake.hope this helps.dealer should have run threw controls with you when thet delivered it

I JUST BOUGHT A TC40D WITH SUPER STEER 2 WEEKS AGO.THE SECOND DAY I GOT ON IT I WAS HAPPY I HAD SS.IF YOU ARE IN ANY KIND OF TIGHT AREAS CLOSE TO BUILDINGS FOREST ETC YOU WILL LOVE IT.
